Lower Mainland Charitable Association (LMCA) Boardwalk Gaming Centre at Highgate Mall Each charity is required to provide hall volunteer hours based on the amount of money guaranteed by its “Certificate of Affiliation”, (formerly known as your license.) This time commitment must be fulfilled as set down in the volunteers’ schedule provided on the LMCA website www.lmcharities.org. The minimum shift time is 4 hours and can be any 4 hours during the assigned day that is convenient to the charity volunteer. The charity must be in contact with his/her volunteers and make sure that they know about their schedule and the importance of being at the hall. Each charity is responsible for contacting the Association volunteer chair immediately if they are unable to fulfill a volunteer shift (for whatever reason). The Association has purchased LMCA logo Aprons that are to be worn by their volunteers when on duty, in addition to a nametag. Each charity is responsible for sending a representative to the general Association meeting, which are held every 4 months. Dates are provided at meetings and on the web site. Each charity is responsible for checking the Association web site on a regular basis – monthly is suggested - to receive the volunteer schedule and other related material. Charities are responsible for printing off their own copies of minutes and agendas (and other documentation they require). Upcoming events, Association meetings or other important information will be posted on the web site when necessary. Each charity is responsible for ensuring that the Association Executive has been provided with up to date contact information for their charity representative(s). Each charity is responsible for having brochures and any other pertinent literature in the rack provided by the front entrance and keeping it well supplied and tidy Each charity should promoting awareness of their organization to the bingo players (when convenient for the players). Each charity must ensure that their volunteer at the hall is familiar with the charities work and be able to answer question that bingo players might have about the organization’s work. FAILURE TO PROVIDE VOLUNTEERS FOR YOUR ASSIGNED DAYS MUST BE REPORTED TO THE GAMING COMMISSION, AND MAY RESULT IN THE CANCELLATION OF YOUR ORGANIZATION’S “CERTIFICATE OF AFFILIATION”.
